Candice Accola, known to Vampire Diaries fans as Caroline Forbes, everyone’s favorite blonde vampire, got married in New Orleans over the weekend. Accra, 27, married Joe King, 34, a member of the band The Fray.

Accola wore a wedding dress by Monique Lhuillier. King wore a tuxedo by Tom Ford. The ceremony was held at the Montegut House in New Orleans, according to a statement from Accola’s representative, who spoke to E! News. The ceremony featured music by Trombone Shorty.

After the ceremony, Accola posted to her Instagram: “Officially Mr. and Mrs. King! Best night ever!”

King also posted to his Instagram: “My wife, she makes me wanna dance.”

After the ceremony, the couple led a line parade to the reception through the streets of New Orleans, including Bourbon Street in accordance with an old tradition of the city. Accra carried a white parasol through the city streets.

Many of her co-stars were in attendance, including Kayla Ewell, who was also a bridesmaid. Ewell played Vicki Donovan on the Vampire Diaries. Other co-stars included Paul Wesley (Stefan Salvatore), Nina Dobrev (Elena Gilbert), Kat Graham (Bonnie Bennett), Claire Holt (Rebeka Mikealson), Phoebe Tonkin (Hayley Marshall) and Michael Trevino (Tyler Lockwood).

Ian Somerhalder, who plays Damon Salvatore, sent his well-wishes via Instagram: “Candice and Joe – my brother, my sister. What a magical day this is for both of you. From the eye of the storm I am still with you in spirit! I am missing my home state of Louisiana and my city, the great city of New Orleans. Sending you so much love from my shoot in ATL – I’m working hard & I wish I could be there physically, but we have the rest of our lives to celebrate. I love you guys! So. Much.”

Julie Plec, the show’s executive producer and show runner, also attended the festivities. She tweeted, “My god, I love New Orleans. Vampire Wedding. Spectacular.”

The couple met at the DirecTV Celebrity BeachBowl in 2012. Accra also starred in the music video for the Fray’s 2013 music video, “Love Don’t Lie.” Accra announced the couple’s engagement in May 2013, posting a photo of her engagement ring on Instagram. The marriage is the first for Accola and the second for King, who has two daughters from a previous marriage.
