COOKING GOOD

originally appeared in STAR magazine

Gwyneth Paltrow recently revealed that she will be taking time off to work on a cookbook after finishing the promotion for her new film, Two Lovers.

The book will consist of recipes that Paltrow has either created or adapted.  She describes them as, “Seasonal, local, simple food based on what I cook and eat – lots of fish, lots of vegetables and pastas and polenta.”

Paltrow is well known for her macrobiotic diet, which she describes as, “eating local, organic, seasonal food, that isn’t processed” and says she has not eaten meat for fifteen years.  She eats “fish, a little bit of dairy – not much milk.”

After becoming pregnant with her first child, Apple, Paltrow says her macrobiotic diet “kind of went out the window.”  She has since gone back to her healthy diet, though she enjoys indulging in coffee and wine, calling them her “lovely vices.”
